For many years HANSA-PARK has been committed to ensuring that as a family adventure park it is open to all people. That is why we are putting in every effort to make our attractions and rides accessible to as many visitors with disabilities as possible. The efforts have paid off, so we realise daily, when we look at the many happy faces of our guests and the awards we have received for our work. Such, in 1996, the Sozialverband Deutschland (formerly called Reichsbund der Kriegs- und Wehrdienstopfer, Behinderten, Sozialrentner und Hinterbliebenen e. V.), a social organisation, awarded the park the quality appreciation "Well planned - with the Disabled in Mind" for the first time and then again in 2002.
The park’s efforts were also acknowledged in 2003, when the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs and the German Tourist Association awarded HANSA-PARK the “Federal Prize in Silver” within the framework of the federal competition “Welcome on Holiday – Family Time without Barriers”. HANSA-PARK was assessed as Schleswig-Holstein’s best leisure facility and only adventure park ever to meet the highest standards in terms of access without barriers and family friendliness.
