Our specially designed facilities make arriving at HANSA-PARK a very comfortable experience. Guests with severely restricted mobility who get to the park in their own car can use one of our 12 specially designated parking bays at the street side "Am Fahrenkrog". From there it’s only a short walk or ride across lowered kerbs to the entrance area.
On the large car park just a bit further down, the first parking row is reserved for visitors with disabilities. Lifts or escalators will take you to the pedestrian bridge from where you’ll have a first overview of HANSA-PARK. Just follow the way down, it will lead you right to the entrance area – an easy and comfortable walk or ride. If you want to conserve your strength, you can also alight at "Am Fahrenkrog" before your companion drives off to park the vehicle.
Special toilets that are easily accessible for visitors with disabilities and provide sufficient space to accommodate wheelchair users, equipped with safety and other handy devices, are located throughout the park:
Clear signage in all areas of the park and even pathways with little or no slopes or ascent make a stroll through HANSA-PARK and exploring the many attractions comfortable and carefree for our visitors with walking disabilities, too.
In the HANSA-PARK 2008 season, glass lifts were installed on both the car park and the parking area adjoining the escalators. Crossing the pedestrian bridge in both directions has thus become even more comfortable and safer.
There is no need for you to bring along your own transport. Simply hire one of our nine new, free- of-charge wheelchairs. Go to the main entrance, communicate your personal details to the staff, pay a refundable deposit and off you go on the handy help.
