Welcome to a relaxing boat tour through our enchanted and beautiful sea of flowers at the Old-Time Fun Fair. Get aboard and glide quietly through the scents of a magical world of flowers. During our Autumn Magic events, the special appeal of this stunningly beautiful landscape is further enhanced by special lighting.

Did you know that the dahlia was named after the Swedish botanist, Andreas Dahl? He simply loved these mid-summer beauties. You, too, can give your eyes a wonderful visual experience: our huge dahlia garden features every imaginable colour and shade of this composite flower related to the aster. You will find the dahlia flower beds right at the park entrance area, on the Landing Bridges next to the Holstein Tower. 

How to add that special something to your dishes? What makes a dish fragrant and appetising? Fresh herbs, of course! Our lovingly designed garden includes a blend of different types of functional and ornamental plants for your senses to enjoy. It is located just a stone’s throw away from the dahlia garden near the historical Hansa Carousel. 

Marvel at our exotic flowers: the Mexico garden next to the Plaza del Mar, adjacent to the Cantina Mexicana displays some of Middle America’s most stunning flowers in all the blooming splendour of this sun-spoiled land while you are enjoying the view of the deep-blue Baltic Sea.

Another totally different world of plants is waiting to be discovered at the Plaza San Antonio: the various types of cactuses in particular catch the eye. But we have all long known that the desert is alive – and offers a habitat for plants, too. And the types of plants that survive in such a harsh environment are the more impressive.
